Background

Dr. Zachary Pealore holds a PhD in Social Administration from the University for Development Studies with specialty in Participation and Development. He also holds an MSc in Infrastructure Planning and BA Integrated Development Studies from the University of Stuttgart – Germany and University for Development Studies – Tamale respectively. Dr. Zachary Pealore is a lecturer and a researcher with the Department of Community Development Studies of the Faculty of Sustainable Development Studies. He is very versatile in both qualitative and quantitative research designs with strong Participatory Development Approaches. Dr. Zachary Pealore has decades of practical and theoretical experience in Project and Program Development and Management, Livelihoods and Entrepreneurship Development, Climate Change and Agricultural Value Chain Development as well as Gender and Financial Inclusion approaches.

With a very strong practical and theoretical experience in the development field, Dr. Zachary Pealore has consulted for Canadian High Commission in Ghana, The Donkey Sanctuary-UK, Presbyterian Agricultural Services – Ghana. He has also extensively directly led, and implemented projects funded by United Nations Development Program in Ghana, World Vision International, USAID, European Union, GIZ, French Embassy, United States of America Embassy in Ghana, Government of Ghana, the Association of Church Development Projects. He has also conducted research in the areas of donkey welfare and livelihoods in Ghana, child labor in the shea sector, participation and impact of government infrastructure projects, role of Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA’s) in livelihoods development and women’s access to agricultural extension services.
