The Institute for Interdisciplinary Research (IIR) of the University for Development Studies (UDS) wishes to inform the University Community of the 19th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference and 3rd Research Week Celebration, scheduled for 14th–17th September 2026.

The Conference will be held under the theme:
“Harnessing Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation for Resilient Communities and National Development.”

The programme of activities is as follows:

Monday, 14th September 2026: Open Day & Exhibition
Venue: Nyankpala Campus
Time: 8:00 a.m.

Tuesday, 15th September 2026: Vice-Chancellor’s Capacity Building & Grantsmanship Seminar
Venue: City Campus
Time: 8:00 a.m.

Wednesday, 16th & Thursday, 17th September 2026: Main Conference
Venue: Twin Oval Auditorium, Tamale Campus
Time: 8:00 a.m. daily

The Conference and Research Week provide an important platform for researchers, academics, students, professionals and other stakeholders to share knowledge, showcase innovative research and explore interdisciplinary approaches to addressing challenges confronting communities and national development.

Members of the University Community are encouraged to take note of the respective dates and venues and participate fully in the activities.

All Schools and Faculties are kindly reminded that participation in the Open Day and Exhibition is completely free of charge. No fees or charges are required for participation.
