UDS Governing Council Appoints Prof. Mohammed Muniru Iddrisu as Vice-Chancellor
The Governing Council of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has appointed Professor Mohammed Muniru Iddrisu as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University, following its meeting held on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
The appointment marks a significant milestone in the leadership trajectory of the University, as Professor Iddrisu brings to the role a wealth of academic experience, administrative competence, and a demonstrated commitment to institutional growth and excellence.
Professor Iddrisu is a distinguished academic and seasoned university administrator, currently serving as the Principal of the Nyankpala Campus of UDS. Over the years, he has earned a reputation for dedicated service, visionary leadership, and impactful contributions to teaching, research, and community engagement. His academic career is underscored by a strong portfolio of scholarly work and active participation in knowledge generation within his field.
Within the University, Professor Iddrisu has held several key academic and administrative positions, contributing significantly to policy direction, academic planning, and institutional governance.
